John
Blizz, a couple of questions: At what height do you live at? What is the most snow in accumulation you've had so far at your location? And how the heck did you find your way to this forum? Hope you check back soon, and hope you do get your blizzard (well maybe not a blizzard, that would be pushing it a bit too far, but some good snow at least) (PS: désolé les gars, l'anglais c'est pratiquement ma langue maternelle)

The most snow ever at this elevation is one metre of snow on the 4th of July, 1900. See Below: http://www.blackheathweather.com/barton.html My town from above: http://www.blackheathweather.com/graphics/...thoverview1.jpg My region: We are 100 kilometres west of Sydney: http://members.ozemail.com.au/~amiskelly/i...tral_ranges.jpg You will see a place called Penrith to the right on the map (purple), that is sea level and part of the Greater Sydney region. The areas called Mt Trickett and Shooters Hill are where we 'snow chase' as the lower ground to the west of this plateau encourages lifting (orographics) and more snow. It goes from 300 metres to 1300 very quickly in areas near Shooters Hill. This area gets about 5 to 10 snowfalls per year and sometimes up to two or three feet of snow but usually 10 to 20cm with maybe once fall of 30cm or more per year. Blizz2
A tornado may have formed later from here...big hail fell from this storm.
