Voici un CC de l'article: A deep depression swept across the United Kingdom on Friday, bringing gales and heavy rain to many parts of the country. The highest gust was of 129 mph (206 km/h), recorded on Bealach Na Ba (literally “Pass of the Cattle”), in the Scottish Highlands. The A896 road runs up to 626 metres (2053 feet) above sea level here, and the weather station is at 773m (2535ft) so it is an exposed site, but nevertheless an impressive gust. The highest low-level gust was recorded at Lossiemouth in Moray, also in Scotland. This town overlooks where the Moray Firth estuary meets the North Sea, and saw a gust of 80 mph (128 km/h) as the winds strengthened further during Friday evening. The high winds closed road bridges across Scotland, and disrupted ferry services. A section of one of Edinburgh’s city centre streets was closed after part of a roof was reported to have blown off a derelict building. Both Edinburgh and Glasgow saw gusts over 50 mph (80 km/h). Elsewhere in the UK the highest winds accompanied the low pressure system’s cold front as it crossed the country through the day, bringing a short but heavy spell of rain to all parts. A gust of 60 mph (96 km/h) was recorded in Carlisle in Cumbria around lunchtime as the rain swept through. Even along the south coast of England gusts exceeded 50 mph, getting as high as 72 mph (115 km/h) at The Needles on the Isle of Wight during late afternoon.
