Les anglais prévoient comme tous cette année un hiver au moins froid, et peut etre meme neigeux... il s'avere que les previsions faites par les anglais pour l'instant sont totalement justes et vérifiées...

Snow on the horizon

The long spell of settled weather is set to end next week as high pressure is pushed out of way atlantic frontal systems. This will bring a spell of more unsettled and mobile weather for a time with fluctuating temperatures. Another significant change is then expected during the third week of the month with much colder conditions pushing down across the UK. This is what our own long range forecast suggested at the beginning of December, and it now being backed up by some of the global medium range forecasting models. With this level of agreement we are confident of this happening. The real problem is forecasting exactly when the coldest weather will envelop the UK and whether it will coincide with Christmas. At the moment our view is the chances of a the UK having a white christmas this year are significantly better than average. Brian Gaze, TheWeatherOutlook's senior forecaster said, "The second half of December looks set to bring a taste of winter to the UK and after the recent mild and settled conditions this may well come as a shock to many people. We think snow may well fall in large parts of the UK with northern and eastern areas likely to see the most. TWO winter forecast

It is now 10 days since we issued our winter forecast and the weather is behaving perfectly so far. Although most areas will have a quiet and dry weekend, the change to unsettled conditions which we are expecting currently looks set to arrive according to our schedule. This should bring rainfall to virtually the whole of the UK before a change to colder conditions sets in with an increasing risk of snow for many areas.
