Hello everyone, my name is Mauro Serenello and I am the validation manager in the MeteoNetwork network.
Important premise, I have no will or interest in being an active part in this forum, but the fact of having been directly mentioned forced me to register in order to have the right to reply, once this post has been published, the Administator can proceed with the cancellation of the account.
I was quoted directly and by surname by one of your users who reported here sentences and contents expressed by me in the MeteoNetwork forum, a forum in which this user is no longer registered and in which his station is no longer among those registered by his choice.
I apologize for writing in English but it is more comfortable for me, albeit approximate, French is not a language with which I am familiar.
Regarding the content, I just want to reiterate that what I expressed about Davis and the considerations that emerged after the tests on the passive version of the Vantage Pro 2 are personal considerations that have nothing to do with my position within our Association.
Davis is in our network, he will continue to be there and I hope more will be added, obviously this emphasizes an important aspect, which concerns the installation which, as always, is an integral part in the evaluation phases, and Davis in version passive requires positioning in the open field, on the roof and in any case in conditions of good natural ventilation, the lack of attention in this phase would lead to an anomalous growth of the measurement uncertainty as regards the temperature parameter which would make, in certain periods of the year the unreliable data.
It is not my intention to respond further on this topic but I strongly invite anyone to avoid offensive and appreciative phrases towards me, in case I will contact your Board to provide some information that I consider confidential.
Thank you for the hospitality and I wish everyone a good continuation.
Mauro Serenello
